Why do the blasphemers blaspheme, under the umbrella of freedom of speech? Why do they mock our sacred personalities? Why do they want to pinch Muslims? Actually, in this way they showcase their hatred for Islam. No Muslim can withstand and bear the blasphemy of the Prophet ï·º. So by being provocative towards Muslims and when Muslims react violently, they show their people how bad Islam and Muslims are, though our negative behavior has got nothing to do with Islam’s sacred and peaceful teachings. As a result, we dig a pit of trouble for our own selves, and do not present Islam to the world properly. We’ve been doing this for ages now.
So the question may arise, what should be our response to the blasphemy toward our beloved Prophet ï·º? The answer is as simple as ABC – presenting the biography/Seerah of Prophet Muhammed ï·º as much as we can. This is literally a blow to the critics. They would either accept it if Allah guides them towards the truth, or they cannot digest it at all - a pain which is more severe to them than Muslims’ violent retaliation.
Sharing the Prophetic biography (Seerah) can bring multiple benefits:
1. Allah says in the Holy Quran: “If they only followed what was advised to them, it would’ve been in their favor.” (Surah Nisa, verse 66) This means the Muslims’ holding on to the faith is the secret to their success. No faith, no gain.
2. Mankind would know the real and exceptional character of Prophet Muhammed ï·º. Consciously or sub-consciously, non-Muslims would learn that the blasphemy which gets carried on as a false propaganda, and as a mission of hate and polarization, is wrong and baseless.
3. We Muslims are ourselves in need of consuming the pearls of the Prophetic biography, more than the non-Muslims. Unless we know who our ideal is, how would we expect others to know about him? And if we don’t about Prophet Muhammed ï·º, how can we defend his sacred honor?
4. The prophetic biography (Seerah) is the best way for Muslims to get united. When Muslims unite, the critics and the mischievous cannot plot such heinous acts of immorality like blasphemy.
Apart from that, we Muslims should always keep our eyes open as to the origins of such plots. Once we do this, we should counter-attack them financially. Many people say “what happens with a mere boycott of goods?” On the contrary, many things can be achieved through this way alone, but again, with unity. The political powers, be they be capitalists or the long gone imperialists were based on money. If Muslims all over the world stop consuming and importing their goods, the financial blow to them will be unimaginable and beyond expectations.
The prophetic biography is the key to success. Know it, implement it, share it day in and day out – either in the form of articles, snippets, flyers, or a mere one liner quotes by Prophet Muhammed ï·º. Propagation of faith was never easier as it is today, thanks to the social media. If we still sit without doing this fundamental duty, then we must rethink what we are up to.
